How Cleaner Combustion Works
Combustion efficiency plays a major role in minimizing emissions. Ikon’s diesel blends are engineered to maximize fuel burn and reduce incomplete combustion, which results in fewer pollutants:
- Lower Particulate Matter (PM): High-quality combustion lowers soot output, reducing DPF clogs and exhaust opacity.
- Reduced NOx Emissions: Optimized combustion temperatures and cleaner burn profiles help reduce nitrogen oxide formation.
- Less Carbon Monoxide (CO): Increased oxygenation in blends promotes full combustion and lower CO levels.
Ultra-Low Sulfur Advantage
Ikon offers 10PPM ULSD as a standard, helping fleets meet stringent EPA and international emissions guidelines:
- Cleaner Exhaust Systems: Less sulfur means less sulfate particulate in emissions and longer life for emission control equipment.
- DEF Compatibility: Ensures seamless operation with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems and AdBlue technologies.
